EASTON, Mass. (December 6, 2011) – Two members of the Stonehill College women's soccer team have been selected to the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) All-New England Team, as determined this week by a vote of NEWISA member head coaches. Senior forward/midfielder Kelsey Mahoney (Rehoboth, Mass./Dighton-Rehoboth) and junior back Sara Nagle (Manchester, Conn./Manchester) were both named to the second team.

Mahoney, making her second-straight appearance on the second team, led the Skyhawks in scoring with five goals and three assists for 13 points in only 14 games played. A two-time Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) third team selection, Mahoney concludes her Stonehill career with 16 goals and 23 assists for 55 points in 69 games played. Mahoney has netted four game-winners and has also earned NE-10 All-Academic Team honors over her four year career.

Nagle earns her second selection to the NEWISA second team in as many years and her third regional honor of the season, after she was a first-time selection to the Daktronics All-East Region second team and a CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District second team selection last month.

Nagle, a NE-10 All-Conference first team selection this fall, led the Skyhawks back line to 10 shutouts this season, the best goals against average (GAA) in NE-10 play at 0.58 and the third-best GAA overall in the NE-10 at 0.68. Nagle has played and started in every game of her career at Stonehill.

The Skyhawks (11-7-2, 8-5-2 NE-10) reached the NE-10 Tournament semifinal round for the eighth time in program history and first since 1999 before falling to the eventual NE-10 Tournament champion and NCAA Division II national champion the College of Saint Rose, 2-0, in the NE-10 semifinals.
