EASTON, Mass. (September 26, 2011) – Stonehill College sophomore Jaemie Fasanello (East Bridgewater, Mass./Notre Dame Academy) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced earlier today.

Fasanello held both opponents' top strikers scoreless in a 2-0 week for Stonehill including a 1-0 victory over #25 ranked Southern Connecticut State University on Sunday.

In NE-10 action this season, Fasanello has played in every minute (655 total) helping the Skyhawks defense allow just two goals in seven conference games.

Fasanello's fine defensive play has also aided Stonehill to its current scoreless streak of 475 consecutive minutes in its last five contests. During that span, the Skyhawks have compiled a 4-0-1 record outscoring opponents by a slim 4-0 margin.

Stonehill (7-1-1, 5-1-1 NE-10) travels to Bridgeport University on Wednesday, September 28 in non-conference action at 6 p.m.
