Healey and Sharretts earn All-NE10 third team honors

EASTON, Mass. (May 2, 2019) – Four members of the Stonehill College women's lacrosse team have earned postseason honors from the Northeast-10 Conference, as selected by the league's 14 head coaches, the NE10 announced today.
Junior Kaity Healey and sophomore Emily Sharretts highlight the Stonehill honorees by earning third team All-NE10 honors. Freshmen Kendall Fressle and Emma Sullivan were both selected to the NE10 All-Rookie Team. The Skyhawks two All-NE10 selections give the program 112 in program history, to go along with 13 All-Rookie selections since that program started in 2009.
Healey earns All-NE10 honors for the first time in her career with her spot as a third team midfielder. She is second on the Stonehill team in scoring with 44 points, netting 35 goals to go with nine assists, a team-leading 59 draw controls, 25 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers in 18 games this season. Healey posted a season-high five points on three goals and two assists in the Skyhawks April 24 win over Saint Michael's College. She registered multiple goals in 11 games this spring, netting a season-best four goals against 9th-ranked LIU Post on March 27. Healey also collected a career-best 11 draw controls against the Pioneers.
Healey an NE10 Academic Honor Roll performer in the classroom, has started 39 of the 40 games she has played over her Stonehill career. She will enter her senior season with 81 career points, having totaled 68 goals and 13 assists, with 103 draws, 53 ground balls and 30 caused turnovers.
Sharretts, an NE10 All-Rookie Team selection as a freshman, earns All-NE10 honors for the first time as a third team defender. She is a leader of the Skyhawks defense, leading the team with 41 ground balls, 24 caused turnovers and 59 draw controls. Sharretts has also chipped in a pair of assists in 17 games played this spring. She recorded multiple caused turnovers in eight games this season, with a season-best three on four occasions, including a run of three-straight games in late March. Sharretts collected five or more draws in five games, including a career-best eight, along with a career-high six ground balls, against No. 16 University of New Haven on April 20.

Sharretts is also an NE10 Academic Honor Roll student, having also collected Athletic Director's Honor Roll status this year. She has started 28 of her 32 career games played and enters her junior season with 68 ground balls, 89 draw controls and 37 caused turnovers.
Fressle and Sullivan made an immediate impact for a Stonehill team with no seniors on a roster that included ten freshmen. Sullivan finished third on the team in scoring and goals, totaling 34 goals and eight assists for 42 points, while also contributing 27 ground balls, 29 draw controls and 15 caused turnovers. She scored multiple goals in 12 games for the Skyhawks this spring, including a season-best five in a win over Saint Thomas Aquinas College on February 26. Sullivan tallied a season-high two assists twice, collected a season-high eight draws in her collegiate debut against Queens (N.Y.) College on February 24 and snared a season-best four caused turnovers win an overtime win over nationally-ranked Bentley University on March 23.
Fressle also appeared in all 18 games as a freshman, including one start, posting 29 goals and four assists for 33 points. She led the team with 11 free-position goals (12th NE10) and tallied 12 ground balls and two caused turnovers. Fressle made an immediate splash with a season-high six goals in Stonehill's season-opening win over Queens on February 24, finishing the year with eight multi-goal games.
Stonehill wrapped up its 2019 season with a 9-9 record overall, including 6-7 in the NE10 to make its Conference record 20th appearance in the NE10 Tournament.
