EASTON, Mass. (April 11, 2017) – Stonehill College freshman goalkeeper Bailey Grant (Chelmsford, Massachusetts/Chelmsford) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Goalkeeper of the Week for women's lacrosse, the league announced.

Grant backboned the Stonehill defensive effort in a 2-0 week by posting a 6.00 goals against average and .556 save percentage, averaging 7.5 saves per game, while playing all 120 minutes in the Skyhawks goal and collecting two ground balls. She opened the week with eight saves, with four in each half, of Wednesday's 11-7 comeback win at Assumption College, yielding just one goal after halftime to aid in Stonehill erasing the one goal halftime deficit after trailing by two goals five times in the opening half. Grant capped the week with seven saves, including five in the first half, and two ground balls in Saturday's 17-5 win over American International College.

Grant has appeared in six games during her freshman season, starting the last four, and posted an 8.39 goals against average and .459 save percentage with 5.7 saves per game over 286 minutes in the Stonehill goal. She has posted a 2-2 record in her four starts, with 34 saves and five ground balls. Grant has recorded a season-best eight saves in back to back games, including her performance at Assumption last weekend after stopping eight at No. 3-ranked Le Moyne College on April 1.

Stonehill (6-5, 5-3 NE10), ranked No. 17 in this week's Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II poll, is back in action on Wednesday night when it hosts rival Bentley University for an NE10 matchup at W.B. Mason Stadium at 7 p.m., for the Skyhawks lone game of the week before a three-game week after Easter.
