The Skyhawks closed out the first half with six goals in the final 14 minutes of the frame to carry a 15-1 lead into the intermission. Gross had two of her three goals on the night in that stretch, with her second of the night with 9:14 left in the first half giving her the 200-point milestone.

Gross and Ladino, along with classmates Jaclyn Craig (Rocky Point, N.Y./Rocky Point) and Jessica Ragnio (Andover, Mass./Andover) were recognized for playing in their final regular season home match prior to the start of the game. The four have been four-year starters for a program which has posted a 53-12 (.815) overall record, including a 38-2 (.950) clip in the NE-10, over their careers with three NE-10 regular season championships, two NE-10 Tournament titles and one NCAA Tournament bid to date.
