Craig & Ladino Set to Participate in IWLCA Senior All-Star Game on Saturday
Seniors will represent Stonehill on North All-Star squad in Pennsylvania
EASTON, Mass. (June 10, 2010) – Two members of the Stonehill College women's lacrosse team, ranked sixth in the final Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II poll, will participate in the IWLCA's annual North-South Senior All-Star Game at the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, Pa., on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Senior consensus All-Americans Jaclyn Craig (Rocky Point, N.Y./Rocky Point) and Jackie Ladino (North Dartmouth, Mass./Dartmouth) will represent Stonehill as part of the North All-Star squad on Saturday, which will take on the South All-Star squad. It will mark the second senior All-Star game of the year for Ladino who also took part in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II North/South Senior All-Star Game in Winston-Salem, N.C., in November.
Craig, the 2009 NE-10 Defensive Player of the Year, is just the third student-athlete in program history, first defender, to earn first team All-America honors all four years of her collegiate career from the IWLCA. She started 14 of the 15 games she played for Stonehill this season and posted 26 ground balls, 31 draw controls and 14 caused turnovers. Craig was the leader of a defensive unit which ranks eighth nationally in Division II with an 8.97 team goals against average and fourth with 12.29 caused turnovers per game. The team allowed just 3.88 goals per game in the second half this year.
Craig, also a four-time first team All-North Region and All-Northeast-10 selection, has appeared in 65 career games and totaled 116 ground balls, 118 draw controls and 69 caused turnovers. She has also chipped in on offense with six goals and three assists for nine points over her career.

Craig, a two-time NE-10 All-Academic honoree, earned ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District first team honors this spring. She was recently named an Edward E. Martin Scholar-Athlete Award winner at Stonehill and is a St. Thomas Aquinas medal recipient for having the highest cumulative grade point average on the women's lacrosse team.
Ladino, a first team All-American in both lacrosse and field hockey during her senior year, started all 17 games this season and totaled 26 goals and 14 assists for 40 points, with one game-winning goal, 45 ground balls, a team-best 52 draw controls and 17 caused turnovers. She ranked fourth among NE-10 leaders with 13 free-position goals. Ladino also earned first team All-North Region and All-Northeast-10 Conference honors in lacrosse for the first time this spring.
Ladino played 66 games over her career with the lacrosse team, totaling 92 goals and 34 assists for 126 career points, also adding three game-winners, 123 ground balls, 123 draw controls and 72 caused turnovers. She was also an Edward E. Martin Scholar-Athlete Award winner and an NE-10 Woman of the Year nominee.
Stonehill (13-4, 10-1 NE-10) earned its sixth NCAA Tournament bid in program history and first since 2007. The third-seeded Skyhawks fell to eventual National Champions Adelphi University in the opening round.
