Skyhawks ready for upcoming NE10 Championship with personal-bests

BOSTON, Mass. (February 15, 2020) –Stonehill College logged three personal-bests on the track and competed in three events overall in its final tune-up for the upcoming Northeast-10 Conference Championships at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, hosted by Boston University, at the BU Track & Tennis Center today. 

Highlights

  • Sophomores Evan Kennedy and Nickolas McNamee competed in the 800-meter run for Stonehill. Kennedy won his section and finished 92nd out of 291 entries overall in a personal-best 1:55.26, while McNamee finished in 1:55.66 for 104th place. Both times are on pace to rank in the top five for the event in the NE10 this winter.
  • Sophomore Anthony Magazzu and freshman Jeremiah Kidd-Taylor turned in strong times in the 400-meter dash. Magazzu finished second in his section and placed 99th out of 236 entries overall in a personal-best 50.23-seconds, while Kidd-Taylor clocked in at a personal-best 50.42-seconds for 108th place.
  • Sophomore Michel-Ange Siaba tuned up for a personal nine-event NE10 Championship this week with a 21st place finish in the long jump. He cleared 21-feet, 3.5-inches on his second attempt while competing in a field of 42 jumpers.
