2019 USTFCCCA Division II Outdoor All-Region Honorees Announced

EASTON, Mass. (May 17, 2019) – Five members of the Stonehill College men's track & field program, ranked seventh in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) East Region rankings, have earned All-East Region honors for the outdoor season from the USTFCCCA, the organization announced. The awards recognize each region's top five performers in individual events and top three teams in relay events.

Seniors Lucas Taxter, Stephen Vercollone and Xavier Young are all multiple honorees for Stonehill, while classmate Daniel Bomba is a first time honoree. Sophomore Ethan Famiano rounds out the Skyhawks honorees with his first outdoor All-Region performance.

Taxter collects the tenth All-Region honor of his career, also including indoor track & field and cross country, with his New England Championship winning time of 3:49.99 that was good enough to qualify for next week's NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships. He has now earned All-East Region honors four times over his career during the outdoor season, including three at 1500-meters

He is seeded 12th for the NCAA Championships next week and is now a two-time All-Region performer for the outdoor season, after also earning the honors for the 800-meters in 2017.
