Wilcox Leads Trio of Stonehill Runners Compete in 5000m at Jay Carisella Invitational

Plantsville, Connecticut, senior places fifth as all three Skyhawks finish in top 13 

BOSTON, Mass. (December 13, 2014) – Stonehill College senior Bryan Wilcox (Plantsville, Connecticut/Southington) led a trio of runners competing in the 5000-meter run at the Jay Carisella Invitational, hosted by Northeastern University, at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center tonight.

Wilcox placed fifth in the event with a time of 15:10.07 behind three Northeastern runners as well as American International College senior Michael Biwott, who won the event in 14:03.31. Senior Daniel Gordon (Plymouth, Massachusetts/Plymouth North) finished tenth for the Skyhawks in 15:32.15, while sophomore Tyler Henseler (Coventry, Rhode Island/Bishop Hendricken) was 13th out of the 25 entries in 15:41.94.

Stonehill is off until after the holiday break when it returns to action by competing at the Tufts University Invitational I at Gantcher Athletic Center in Medford, Massachusetts, on Saturday, January 17.
