Indoor Season

2012-13: NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll (Spring Semester). Athletic Director's Honor Roll for spring semester. Saw action in four meets for the Skyhawks. Finished 10th at Joe Donahue Games (1/25/13) in the 3000m race, finishing in 8:48.43. Captured 2nd at Tufts Stampede in the 5000m race, completing the race in 15:19.48. Finished 4th at the Northeast-10 Championships (2/16) in the same race, finishing in 15:08.84, a season best. Finished 23rd in the 5000m at New England Championships (2/23), running in 15:13.33.

2011-12: All-Northeast-10 (5000m). NE-10 Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll. Competed in four races for the Skyhawks over the course of the season. Posted a time of 15:24.29 and finished 3rd overall in the 5,000-meter run to open his season at the Tufts Stampede (2/4/12). Ran a time of 8:48.35 in the 3,000-meter run at the Boston University Valentine Invitational (2/11/12). Placed 2nd overall and earned All-Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) honors in the 5,000-meter run at the NE-10 Championships (2/18/12) in 15:04.04, a new personal best indoors. Placed 16th overall in the 5,000-meter run at the New England Championships (2/24/12) in 15:04.81.

2010-11: NE-10 Commissioner's Fall Honor Roll. Placed 5th overall in the 5,000 meter run at the NE-10 championships with a time of 15:11.17, a personal best. Took 1st place in the 5,000 meter run at the Tufts Stampede in 15:16.59. Also posted a time of 15:53.17 at the Jay Carisella Invitational. Finished 9th overall in the 3,000 meter run at the Boston University Valentine Classic in 8:39.79. Competed in the one mile run twice during the season at the University of New Hampshire Tri-Meet (4:28.44) and the Reebok Boston Collegiate Indoor Games (4:29.26).

Outdoor Season

2013: Participated in five meets for the Skyhawks. Placed 21st in the 5000-meter run at Bridgewater State Bears Invitational (3/23), finishing in 16:47.07. Finished the same race in 15:22.26 at New England Championships (5/11). Took home 2nd in the 3000m run at Skyhawk Invitational (4/26) with a time of 8:40.70. Finished 3rd at the Northeast-10 Championships (5/4) in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:31.50.

2012: Competed in three meets for the Skyhawks during the spring season. Notched an impressive 4th/66 place finish in the UConn Spring Invitational 2 mile (9:24.38). Took 1st in the Skyhawk Invitational 3000m (9:36.67). Participated in the Larry Ellis Invitational, taking 66th/99 in the 5,000m, with a time of 14:52.10.

2011: All-New England Honors in 5,000 meters. Placed 7th overall at New England's in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 14:58.68. Also posted a time of 15:00.45 in the 5,000 meter run at the George Davis Invitational. Finished 2nd at the NE-10 championships in the 3,000 meter steeple chase with a time of 9:44.66, a personal best. Posted a 5th place finish in the 3,000 meter steeple chase in a time of 9:59.08 at the George Davis Invitational. Competed in the 1,500 meter run twice during the season with a 4:06.32 performance at the Skyhawk Invitational and a time of 4:13.28 at the UMass Minutemen Invitational. Also ran a split of 2:02.5 in the 4x800 meter relay at the Skyhawk Invitational.

High School: 2009 graduate of Haverhill High School. Earned letters in Track and Cross Country for Michael Maguire and captained senior year. Earned All- Scholastic honors in 2007 and All-Conference honors in 2007 and 2008.

Personal: Born April 21, 1991 in Boston, MA. Son of Jennifer and Brian Penney of Haverhill, MA. Has a sister, Elyssa (16), and a brother, Evan (13). Supports the New England Patriots and lists favorite athlete as Bernard Lagat.
