Indoor Season

2011-12: Competed in 14 races over the course of the season for the Skyhawks. Placed seventh overall in the 55-meter dash finals at the Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) Championships on February 18, 2012 with a time of 6.73-seconds. Posted his personal best time of 6.68-seconds in the 55-meter dash in the prelims of the event at the NE-10 Championsips. Also, finished 12th overall in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.06-seconds. Ran his personal best time (indoors) in the 200-meter dash (22.55-seconds) at the New England Indoor Championships on February 24, 2012. Ranked 39th out of 159 competitors in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.62-seconds at the Boston University Valentine Invitational (2/11/12). Placed third overall out of 61 competitors in the 20-meter dash at the New Balance Boston Collegiate Indoor Games (1/27/12) with a time of 22.88-seconds. Ranked third overall in the 55-meter dash at the University of New Hampshire Tri-Meet (1/21/12) posting a time of 6.68-seconds in the finals. NE-10 Track Rookie of the Week (12/12).

2011-12: NE-10 Track Rookie of the Week (4/9, 4/16).

High School: 2011 graduate of Shadow Mountain High School. Four year letterwinner for coach Mike Giovando, serving as captain her senior. Earned team's Matador Award. Also lettered in track as a sprinter, finishing as Arizona State runner up for 200-meters and region champion in 200m (twice) and 100m.

Personal: Born January 24, 1993, in Phoenix, Ariz. Son of Jerry and Peggy Grubel of Phoenix. Father played football at Wisconsin-Lacrosse. Had a cousin that ran track at Maryland and another that was a member of the track team at Fitchburg State. Undecided on academic major. Aspires a career in physical therapy for sports injuries. Supports the Green Bay Packers. Lists Darrelle Revis and Jim Leonard as favorite athletes.
