NE10 Cross Country Report: Week 5

EASTON, Mass. (October 8, 2019) – Stonehill College men's cross country freshman Reilly Johnston was named Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week, announced by the league on Tuesday.

Johnston assisted the Skyhawks to 14th-place finish at the 46th edition of the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on Saturday. Stonehill placed 14th overall out of 45 teams in the brown race at the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course.

The Providence, Rhode Island native finished 50th out of 394 competitors, as the Skyhawks ran against all three divisions this weekend. Johnston crossed the finish line with a time of 25:22.9, two minutes faster than his first eight-kilometer meet this season.

Stonehill takes two weeks off before traveling back to Pennsylvania to compete in the Lehigh Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
