Duffy Collects Second NE10 Rookie of the Week

EASTON, Mass. (October 15, 2019) – Stonehill College freshman Christian Duffy has earned Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week honors for the second time by the league office today.

Duffy led Stonehill to a 7-0 triumph over University of District of Columbia to cap its fall season with wins at No. 2 singles and doubles. He teamed up with senior Manu Ravichandrakumar to clinch the doubles point for the Skyhawks with their 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles on Friday. Duffy then posted Stonehill's first singles point with a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles against UDC freshman Louis Mangeon.

Duffy finished the fall with a combined 8-4 record in singles and doubles play. He went 3-2 in singles play, competing at No. 2 for Stonehill. He also posted a 5-2 doubles record with three different playing partners. He and senior Samuel Miller are 4-1 as a pairing, winning the B-Flight title at the season-opening Stonehill Doubles Invitational. Duffy also earned NE10 Rookie of the Week accolades on September 17.

Stonehill won all three of its dual matches during the fall season and will announce its spring schedule in the coming weeks.
