Miller and White are double-winners as Skyhawks win second-straight

EASTON, Mass. (April 11, 2019) – Stonehill College picked up a second-straight win with a 7-0 victory over Saint Anselm College in Northeast-10 Conference men's tennis action on Charles Watt Tennis Courts this afternoon.

Junior Samuel Miller and sophomore Russell White were both double-winners to lead Stonehill to the win. Miller teamed up with sophomore Trent Newman to clinch the doubles point for the Skyhawks with their 6-2 win at No. 1. Miller followed that up with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles against Saint Anselm freshman Ethan Hall.

White and sophomore Aleksander Lazowski wrapped up the sweep of the doubles matches with their 6-4 win at No. 2. White then provided the match-clinching point with his 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles against sophomore Sam Kluger. Freshmen Vincent Huynh and Juan Camilo Riano Rojas also posted singles wins for the Skyhawks and No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.

Stonehill (11-6, 3-3 NE10) is back in action on Saturday, when it visits Saint Michael's College for an NE10 match at 11 a.m. The Skyhawks return to Watt Courts on Wednesday, April 17, to host regionally-ranked Le Moyne College at 3:30 p.m. Saint Anselm (0-17, 0-9 NE10) visits Colby-Sawyer College on Sunday at 2 p.m.
