EASTON, Mass. (March 16, 2019) – Stonehill College picked up its fourth-straight win with a 6-1 decision over Roger Williams College in non-conference men's tennis action inside the Sally Blair Ames Sports Complex today.

Sophomores Trent Newman and Russell White, along with freshman Vincent Huynh were all double-winners to lead Stonehill to its fourth-straight win. Newman and White spearheaded the Skyhawks doubles sweep by posting a 6-2 win at No. 1. Newman followed that up by breezing to a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles against Roger Williams junior Brandon White. White picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles against sophomore Jared Deibe.

Huynh and sophomore Aleksander Lazowski teamed up for a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles. Huynh also cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles against junior Thomas O'Leary. Juniors Aaron Diamond and Manu Ravichandrukumar also earned singles wins for the Skyhawks.

Senior Nick Spoor picked up Roger Williams' point by rallying from a set down for a 3-6, 7-5, 10-8 win at No. 4 singles against Stonehill freshman Juan Camilo Riano Rojas.

Stonehill (8-2, 0-0 NE10) returns to action next Sunday, March 24, when it hosts regionally-ranked NYIT at 1 p.m. Roger Williams (1-1) hosts UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday, March 26, at 4 p.m.
