Easton, Mass. - The Skyhawks used a timely foul inside the box and great goaltending from sophomore Brandon McFarlane (Norwich, Conn.) to draw with Queens College 1-1.

Queens would get on the board first, with Brian Buckmire sending a long pass to Adam Maliniak that he chipped by McFarlane for an early one goal lead.

Stonehill would respond ten minutes later, when Shaun Keeley (Woburn, Mass.) converted on a penalty kick, his second in as many games.

The score remained tied for the rest of the first half and through second, though Queens had opportunities to score, as McFarlane made seven saves in the second half.

Overtime was a different story as the Skyhawks pressured the Knights but were unable to convert two corner kicks in the two overtime periods.

McFarlane finished with ten saves for Stonehill, while Queens goalkeeper Brian Brabazon had eight stops in net.

The tie brings the Skyhawks record to 2-2-1.  They next take to the field when they host the University of Southern N.H. on Wednesday, September 24 at 4:00 pm.
