Schenectady
, N.Y. - Sophomore Shaun Keeley (Woburn, Mass.) scored twice to give the Skyhawks their fifth win Tuesday night at The College of Saint Rose.  Stonehill exploded for four goals; their highest total this season.  The win snaps a two game losing streak and boosts their 2007 record to 5-9-2 (2-8-1 NE-10).

The first half remained a defensive struggle until late.  In the 33rd minute Keeley accepted a pass from freshman Todd Shigo (Naples, Maine) and kicked home the game's first score.  The goal was Keeley's third of the season.  His last goal was September 15th in Stonehill's 1-2 loss to Post.

Senior captain Joey Silva (Brockton, Mass.) increased Stonehill's lead early in the second half off a free kick from Kevin Halloran (Tyngsboro, Mass.).  Both Halloran and Miles Stroh (Harvard, Mass.) earned an assist on Silva's third goal of the season.

Stonehill's one blemish came from Saint Rose's Ryan Hunt; who headed a score past goaltender Danny Kerl (Massapequa Park, N.Y.).  Kerl ended the day with seven saves for his second victory in net.

Keeley's second score would come midway through the first half; assisted by Ryan Hess (Springfield, Mass.).  Keeley's two goal performance marks the third time this season a Skyhawk has scored multiple goals in a game; other two are Tyler Herbert (Rockland, Mass.) against Bryant and David Pohl (Weymouth, Mass.) against Bloomfield.  Stonehill is 3-0 when an individual scores more than once.

Michael Bridges (Sandwich, Mass.) punctuated the Stonehill victory with a goal just five minutes later.  The score, which was Bridges' first collegiate marker, secured an impressive win for the Skyhawks.

The Skyhawks will host UMass-Lowell in their last home game of the season, Saturday at 11:00am.
