Skyhawks Fall to AIC, 4-1

Springfield, Mass. - An early score from sophomore David Pohl (Weymouth, Mass.) was not enough, as the Skyhawks fall to Northeast-10 foe, American International, 4-1.  The Skyhawks' latest loss drops their record to 4-9-2 (1-8-1 NE-10) with three games remaining.

Pohl netted his team leading seventh goal of the season only 10 minutes into the match up.  After a feed from classmate Shaun Keeley (Woburn, Mass.), Pohl dribbled through a plethora of AIC defenders to punch home the marker.

Stonehill's early lead would not last.  Trevin Ming would start the scoring spree for the Yellow Jackets; one of four different players to score for AIC in the contest.

A 1-1 halftime score was quickly erased in the second half when AIC's Sean Stevenson scored from five yard out.  The Yellow Jackets would add two more goals from Ricky Morris and Chris Charles as time expired.

Stonehill goalkeeper Brian Guerrini (Glastonbury, Conn.) stopped one shot in net for the Skyhawks.

After a 2-0-1 run earlier this month, the men have now dropped two straight heading into Tuesday's match up at The College of Saint Rose.  During this stretch they have been outscored 9-3.
