EASTON, Mass.-- Senior Adam Sabastian (Naugatuck, Conn.) netted a goal and an assist to lead Post to a 2-1 non-league college men's soccer victory over Stonehill Wednesday afternoon at Skyhawk Field.

Junior Maurice Johnson (Bronx, N.Y.) gave the visiting Eagles (4-4-2) a 1-0 cushion in the 34th minute of play when he converted a feed from Sabastian, who extended Post's advantage to 2-0 in the 39th minute with an unassisted tally of his own. Sophomore Rick Carvalho (Hollis, N.H.) sliced the host Skyhawks' (5-6) deficit in half just 6:28 into the second half of play when he converted feeds from freshmen Shaun Keeley (Woburn, Mass.) and Victor Regis (Topsfield, Mass.), but that would prove to be the final goal of the contest despite seven Stonehill shots in the final 30-plus minutes of play.

Sophomore Dan Nadel (Farmington, Conn.) picked up the win in goal for Post with seven saves on the afternoon, while freshman Brian Guerrini (Glastonbury, Conn.) made four stops in net on the day for Stonehill as the Skyhawks outshot the Eagles by a 16-11 margin for the match.

Stonehill hosts third-ranked Franklin Pierce in a Northeast-10 Conference match on Saturday afternoon at Skyhawk Field beginning at 1:00 p.m., while Post hosts Goldey-Beacom in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match on Saturday afternoon in Waterbury, Conn. beginning at 3:00 p.m.
