WATERBURY, Conn.-- Sophomore Maurice Johnson (Bronx, N.Y.) scored a pair of goals to lead Post (Conn.) to a 3-0 non-league college men’s soccer victory over Stonehill Tuesday afternoon at La Moy Field.

The two teams played a scoreless first half before Johnson converted a feed from sophomore Shemi Shlomo (Haifa, Israel) in the 62nd minute to give the host Eagles (5-4) the only goal they would need, as Johnson added his second marker of the day in the 71st minute on an assist from freshman Luis Figueiredo (Waterbury, Conn.). Junior Kafoumba Cisse (West Haven, Conn.) tacked on an insurance tally in the 80th minute for Post to close out the scoring.

Freshman Dan Nadel (Farmington, Conn.) picked up the win in goal for Post with a pair of saves on the day, while senior Chad Etting (Plymouth, Conn.) made five stops in net for the visiting Skyhawks (3-5-1) as the Eagles outshot Stonehill by a 13-3 margin.

Stonehill travels to Rindge, N.H. on Saturday evening to take on Franklin Pierce in a Northeast-10 Conference match that begins at 7:00 p.m., while Post hosts Felician in a Central Atlantic Athletic Conference match on Thursday afternoon at La Moy Field that begins at 3:00 p.m.
