How It Happened:

  • Stonehill got on board in the first period as they put two goals in the back of the cage in a minute and 15 seconds. Meade scored his seventh goal of the season at 14:34 with helpers from McCracken and Godin. The one-goal lead was followed by a penalty on Post at 15:33 and 16 seconds later Hall tallied his third goal of the season and first power play goal of the season at 15:49 for a 2-0 advantage.
  • Both teams ended the opening frame with skaters in the penalty box leading into the second frame, but neither team capitalized on the opportunity.
  • Just shy of the halfway mark in the second period, Stonehill was called for two penalties at 9:50 as the Eagles held the advantage on the ice skating 5-on-3. The Skyhawks fended off the Eagles for most of the minor, until Raleigh cut the deficit to one, 2-1 with a goal at 11:23.
  • Less than four minutes later, Frament slapped the puck on net and Jewett was right in front to direct the dish past McLeod putting the Skyhawks back up two, 3-1 at 15:19, for his fourth goal of the season.

Raei put away his eighth goal of the season as he jammed it past McCleod skating one-on-one at 4:31. The Skyhawks went 0-for-4 in the third period in power play opportunities, but Nehmer slipped in his fifth goal of the season for a 5-1 advantage, as Post was called for their sixth penalty of the game.

Outside the Glass:

  • Connor Jewett recorded his 100th-career game played in as he scored his fourth goal of the season and his 16th of his career.
  • With the win and scores across the NE10, Stonehill has pulled even with Franklin Pierce University (14-10-4, 7-6-3 NE10) in third place with 17 points in the NE10 standings.
