Hall and Page tally the lone goals for the Skyhawks

HOOKSETT, N.H. (February 9, 2018) – The Stonehill ice hockey team dropped a Northeast-10 Conference game to Southern New Hampshire University, 6-2, Friday night at the Ice Den Arena.
Stonehill (6-15-2, 4-8-1 NE10) saw Christopher Page (Winthrop, Massachusetts/Winthrop) and Jack Hall (Shelburne, Vermont/Proctor Academy) each tally their fourth goals of the season. Nicholas Godin (New London, New Hampshire/Tabor Academy), Thomas Mahoney (Suffern, New York/The Taft School), Connor Jewett (Berlin, New Hampshire/NH Junior Monarchs – EHL Premier), and Ryan Smith (Arlington, Massachusetts/Tilton School) each recorded an assist. Junior goaltender Billy Palmer (Cranston, Rhode Island/Boston Bandits – USPHL Premier) registered 28 saves in the loss.
Southern New Hampshire University's (11-6-3, 5-5-2 NE10) Chris Moguin recorded a hat trick in the win, as Jared Goudreau talied two goals and Timothy Baylis added one goal. Brett Strawn, Baylis, and Steven Dumond chipped in two assists each, while Matt McLelland and DJ Goldstein registered one assist each. The Penmen goaltender Kurt Gutting stopped 36 shots in his sixth victory of the season.
The Penmen started scoring early and often, as Moguin found the back of the cage at 47 seconds. Page was able to answer with a tally of his own at 7:21 with assists from Godin and Mahoney. Shots were almost matched at the end of the first period as Stonehill took the advantage with 15 shots to Southern New Hampshire's 10 shots on goal.
Both teams recorded 11 shots in the second frame, as the Penmen took its second lead of the game with two goals in less than two minutes. Southern New Hampshire was able to score 39 seconds into the second period by Moquin again, as Baylis followed suit at 2:16 for his 10th goal of the season. The Skyhawks Tedesco took a shot right before the 10-minute mark in the second, as Smith and Jewett dished the puck to Hall off the rebound for his fourth tally of the season cutting the deficit to one, 3-2, at 10:07.
The Penmen took advantage in the third period scoring three goals extending its lead, 6-2. Moquin chipped in his third goal of the game for a hat trick at 3:52 in the frame, while Goodreau added in his two goals at 4:54 and 16:41.
The Skyhawks take on Southern New Hampshire University for their final regular season game away from Foxboro on Saturday, February 10 at the Ice Den Arena in Hooksett, New Hampshire with a start time of 3:20 p.m.
