Stonehill jumped out to an early 1-0 lead at 6:29 on the power play as freshman forward Kevin Aufiero (Canton, Mass.) put home his own rebound past Wentworth netminder Mike Jarboe (Grosse Point Park, Mich.) for his team-leading fourth goal of the season. Junior Dana Borges (Taunton, Mass./Coyle & Cassidy) set up the tally with a nice centering feed in the slot, fourth assist of the season after Christopher Gorovitz (Framingham, Mass./Tilton School) carried the puck into the attacking zone.

Junior defenseman Reed Rushing (Seattle, Wash.) tied up the contest at 1-1 at the 9:31 mark sniping a shot into the lower left corner of the net from the top of the right faceoff circle behind Skyhawks goaltender Chris Tasiopoulos (Norwell, Mass./Thayer Academy) for his second marker of the year. Domsodi netted the eventual game-winner at 8:25 finishing on a beautiful centering feed in the slot from teammate Casey Shade (Anchorage, Alaska) for his fifth of the season.

Stonehill cut the deficit in half at the 11:00 mark as Gorovitz took senior forward Patrick Greene's Weymouth, Mass./Catholic Memorial) pass off the sideboards and skated in one-on-one against Jarboe beating the goaltender with a forehand-to-backhand deke for his fourth marker. Sophomore forward Bill Carey (Weymouth, Mass.) also earned an assist on the shorthanded tally.
