FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (December 8, 2009) - Stonehill College ran its winning streak to four games with a 4-1 victory over the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in non-conference ice hockey action at the Foxborough Sports Center tonight.

Sophomore goaltender Tyler Jackson (Little Silver, N.J./Christian Brothers Academy) stopped 37 of the 38 shots on goal he faced on the night to backbone the Stonehill defense once again. Jackson and the Skyhawks blueliners have surrendered just three goals over their current four-game winning streak (0.75 goals against average), which included back-to-back shutouts for the first time in program history last week. Jackson posted 28 saves over the first two periods combined, including 15 second period stops.

Sophomore Andrew Diozzi (Belmont, Mass./Deerfield) provided all the offense Stonehill would need with his first career hat trick, including two third period goals to seal the win. Freshman Christopher Gorovitz (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) chipped in with a goal for the Skyhawks.
