MARLBOROUGH, Mass. (November 7, 2009) - Plymouth State University posted a 5-2 victory over Stonehill College to take the championship game of the Becker College Ice Breaker Tournament at the New England Sports Center this evening.

Senior Chris Chambers (Crofton, Md.) led Plymouth with a three point night on a goal and two assists, while sophomore Bryan Kriner (Newport, R.I.) and freshman Sean Foley (Weymouth, Mass.) each posted a goal and assist. Freshman Tim Visich (Mount Pleasant, Mich.) dished two assists for the Panthers who also got goals from sophomore Chris Zaremba (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and freshman Chad Wilhelm (Plymouth, Mich.).

Senior Peter Roundy (Simsbury, Conn./Kimball Union) and sophomore Patrick Greene (Weymouth, Mass./Catholic Memorial) scored goals for Stonehill.

Plymouth answered less than three minutes later with Wilhelm's goal, assisted by Visich and sophomore Brian Johnson (East Bridgewater, Mass.), at 4:20. Stonehill again drew within two goals with Roundy's second of the season, assisted by senior Christopher Rogers (Westford, Mass./Pomfret School) and sophomore Bill Harris (Weymouth, Mass./Weymouth) with 40-seconds to play. The Panthers answered again with an unassisted Chambers goal into an empty net with 23-seconds remaining to seal the win.
