Moreton Earns Second-Straight All-NE10 Honor

EASTON, Mass. (March 5, 2019) – Stonehill College junior swingman Will Moreton has earned a spot on the All-Northeat-10 Conference second team for the second-straight year, as selected by the league's 15 head coaches, the Conference announced today.

Moreton gives Stonehill 39 All-NE10 selections all-time, and he is just the seventh to earn All-Conference recognition multiple years and the first since Ryan Logan, '17 was a three-time honoree. It also gives head coach Chris Kraus '06 ten All-NE10 selections over his six seasons at the helm.

Moreton, an NE10 All-Rookie Team pick as a freshman in addition to his pair of All-NE10 honors, is the only Stonehill player to start all 29 games this season, having started all 85 games of his collegiate career. He leads the NE10 and ranks 19th nationally in Division II with his 12 double-doubles this season, giving him 19 over his career, leading the Skyhawks with 18.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.1 steals in 34.2 minutes per game. Moreton is ranked eighth among NE10 scoring leaders, third in rebounding, including a Conference-best 7.4 defensive boards per game (13th nationally) and 13th in steals. He shot 43.8-percent from the field, including 36% (67-for-186) from three-point distance, and 78.9% (90-114) from the free-throw line.

Moreton was Stonehill's top scorer in 13 games, scoring in double-figures 26 times, netting 20-plus points nine times and 30-plus twice, including a career-high 40 points in the Skyhawks 92-59 win over Franklin Pierce University on February 16, marking the program's first 40-point game since 1998. Moreton led the Skyhawks in rebounding in 17 games, securing ten-plus rebounds 13 times, including a season-best 14 twice, leading the team in assists 11 times.

Moreton became the program's 40th 1,000-point scorer when he netted 35 points in a win over Concordia (N.Y.) College on December 16. He enters his senior year ranked 20th in program history with 1,294 career points, while his 188 career three-pointers rank fifth all-time, having produced back-to-back 500-point seasons. Moreton has also totaled 593 rebounds, 201 assists, 92 steals and 57 blocked shots over his career. He has totaled 65 career double-figure games, including 19 games with 20-plus points and four 30-plus point games. Moreton is a two-time NE10 Player of the Week over his career, and been named to the NE10's Academic Honor Roll and Athletic Director's Honor Roll multiple semesters.

Stonehill wrapped up its 2018-19 season with a 14-15 record overall, including 8-13 in the NE10 to finish fifth in the Northeast Division to earn the program's 32nd NE10 Tournament appearance.
