EASTON, Mass. (January 2, 2018) – Stonehill College men's basketball sophomore swingman Will Moreton (Minneapolis, Minnesota/Edina) has been named the Spalding/Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week by the league office today.

He made all six of his free-throws over the two games and averaged 8.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 blocked per game.

Moreton led a balanced Stonehill effort in Saturday's 78-62 win at the University of Bridgeport, receiving votes in the D2SIDA Top 25 media poll and ranked No. 3 in the D2SIDA East Region poll, with a game-high 17 points on 5-of-13 shooting, including 3-for-6 from three-point range, and converting all four free-throw tries. He also filled the box score with nine rebounds, four assists, two blocked shots and a steal in the victory. Moreton followed that up with a career-high 33 points in Sunday's 88-67 win at LIU Post on 12-of-21 shooting from the field, including 7-for-12 from three-point distance, while adding eight rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots.

Moreton has scored in double-figures in all but one game for Stonehill this season, posting his second career double-double with 19 points and a season-high 11 rebounds in an 82-78 victory over Franklin Pierce University on December 2 that sparked the Skyhawks current five game winning streak. He has led Stonehill in scoring four times this season, including each of the last three games, netting 20-plus points four times, including his first career 30-point game at LIU Post on Sunday.
