Hello everyone, this is Mike Accaoui, class of 2014.
Yesterday we had a great day going
on a tour of the Guinness factory, a historical site in Dublin.
It was founded in 1759 by Arthur Guiness, who has that land for
9,000 years after signing a lease for such a long period of time.
The tour guide was explaining that the Guinness factory used to be the largest employer in
all of Ireland as it once had its own hospital, bus service,
schools and many more. At the top of the tour building, which was
five floors, there was a large room surrounded by glass walls
overlooking the entire city of Dublin. The view was incredible, and
we all received a complimentary pint of Guinness.
After the tour, we were given free time to walk around the city.
The large city is full of life with entertainment at every block
and a number of stores to shop around.
Later in the evening, we played our fourth game in Ireland against
UCD (University College Dublin) in which we won
the game by a fair amount. We started off the game sluggish, but
turned it around with great effort throughout the entire team in an
explosive second half.
This has been a great trip as we are rounding out our last full
day in the country today, and also play our fifth and final game
tonight.
Thanks again for all the support.
Mike
