Stonehill (15-6, 9-1 NE-10) will host third-seeded and No. 7-ranked American International College (14-7, 8-2 NE-10) in Tuesday's opening round after the Yellow Jackets earned their first ever NCAA bid. The Skyhawks are making their second-straight NCAA Tournament appearance and will host a game for the second-straight year after W.B. Mason Stadium served as host site of the 2009 NCAA Championships.

Tuesday will mark the third meeting of the year between Stonehill and American International. The Skyhawks have won each of the first two meetings, including a dramatic 2-1 overtime triumph in the semifinal round of the Northeast-10 Conference Championship on Friday, scoring both goals after the 70-minutes of regulation had elapsed. Senior Lindsey Pinkham (Skowhegan, Maine/Skowhegan Area) forced overtime with a goal off a corner after time had expired in regulation, before junior Kathryn Nelson (Shrewsbury, Mass./Shrewsbury) netted the winning goal just three minutes into overtime. Stonehill posted a 2-0 win over AIC at W.B. Mason Stadium during the regular season in October.
