NE-10 Football Postseason Awards Announcement
EASTON, Mass. (November 21, 2015) – Six members of the Stonehill College football program have collected postseason honors from the Northeast-10 Conference, as selected by the league's ten head coaches, with five earning All-Northeast-10 honors and two collecting NE-10 All-Rookie Team accolades.
Freshman wide receiver Andrew Jamiel (West Yarmouth, Massachusetts/Dennis-Yarmouth) and sophomore tight end Kaleb Lutton (Middletown, Connecticut/Xavier) headline Stonehill's five All-Northeast-10 Conference honorees, with Jamiel earning the NE-10's Rookie of the Year award and Lutton named a first team All-NE-10 selection. Jamiel is the second Stonehill football student-athlete to earn Rookie of the Year honors and the first offensive player, joining former All-American Jareed Gaines '13 who received the honors in 2009.
Lutton is the first Stonehill football player to earn All-Northeast-10 first team honors since Colin Markus '16 in 2014, the 11th offensive player in program history to be named to the first team and 28th all-time. He leads five All-Northeast-10 selections for the Skyhawks this fall and is one of four two-time honorees, with seniors Anthony Siciliano (Monroe, New York/Don Bosco Prep), Andrew Kibarian (Lynnfield, Massachusetts/Lynnfield) and Ryan Doherty (Methuen, Massachusetts/Central Catholic) all earning All-Conference honors for the second time with their second team selections along with Jamiel. Stonehill's five All-NE-10 picks give the program 81 all-time.
Freshman placekicker Matthew Haite (Kingston, Massachusetts/Silver Lake Regional) rounds out Stonehill's postseason honorees by joining Jamiel on the NE-10's All-Rookie team, giving the program 17 such selections since the Conference started the All-Rookie program in 2008.
Jamiel had an impressive freshman season for Stonehill, leading Division II with 9.1 receptions per game – ranking ninth across all levels of NCAA football. He started all ten games played and matched the program record with 91 receptions set by Nate Robitaille '15 in 2013 and finishing just two shy of the NCAA Division II single-season mark for a freshman. Jamiel led the Skyhawks with 843 receiving yards (6th NE-10), averaging 84.3 yards per game (4th), with a team-high seven touchdowns (7th). He also led the team with 120.7 all-purpose yards per game (3rd) and ranked second in scoring with 44 points, adding a two-point conversion reception to his seven touchdowns.

Jamiel, who earned NE-10 Offensive Player of the Week honors once to go with four Rookie of the Week selections, posted six double-figure reception games this season, including three of the top five single-game totals in program history, with four 100-yard receiving games and two 200-plus all-purpose outings. He broke the program's single-game reception mark twice during the season, including his season-high 18 catches for a season-best 169 yards and two touchdowns in Stonehill's 21-17 win over the University of New Haven that was streamed live on ESPN3, including the game winning touchdown with 1:26 remaining. Jamiel first broke the program record with 16 receptions for 149 yards and a score in week two at Southern Connecticut State University, when he finished with a season-best 210 all-purpose yards.
Lutton, who earns All-NE-10 first team honors for the first time after being named to the second team as a freshman, finished the year second to Jamiel on the team with 45 receptions and 539 yards and a touchdown. He averaged 12.0 yards per catch and finished the season ranked 12th among NE-10 leaders for receptions, 13th in receiving yards and eighth in yards per catch.
Lutton, also an NE-10 All-Rookie team selection as a freshman, has played all 22 games in his two seasons at Stonehill, totaling 72 receptions for 884 yards and nine touchdowns. His eight touchdown receptions as a freshman led the Skyhawks in 2015 and he is averaging 12.3 yards per catch and 40.2 yards per game over his career. He will enter his junior year ranked 14th in program history for receiving yards and 13th for receptions and receiving touchdowns. Lutton has posted two 100-plus yard receiving yards over his two season, including a season-high seven receptions for 125 yards in Stonehill's 21-17 win over New Haven.
Siciliano, who earlier this season was named a Campbell Trophy and National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete semifinalist, earns All-Northeast-10 second team honors for the second straight year. He started all 11 games for Stonehill this fall at center after playing guard over his first three seasons, having started all 42 games he played over his four year career. Siciliano led a Skyhawks offensive line that blocked for the fifth-ranked offense in the league with 343.8 yards per game, with 211.5 per game passing (5th) and 132.4 per game rushing (6th).
Siciliano was an NE-10 All-Rookie Team member as a freshman and has been named to the NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll all six semesters to date, and Athletic Director's Honor Roll four semesters.
Kibarian also earns second team All-Northeast-10 honors for the second straight year, having started all 11 games for Stonehill at defensive end. He finished the season with 42 tackles (22 solo), including a team-high 9.5 for a loss of 41 yards, a team-best 4.5 sacks for a loss of 29, three forced fumbles, two pass breakups and a quarterback hurry. Kibarian leads the NE-10 in forced fumbles, and is ranked tenth for sacks and 12th in tackles for loss. His three forced fumbles rank 15th nationally in Division II and are good for third on the program's single-season list.

Kibarian played all 44 games of his collegiate career, starting the final 42 games, finishing with 166 tackles (79 solo), including 27.0 tackles for a loss of 108 yards, with 12.5 sacks, four forced fumbles and four pass breakups. His 27 career tackles for loss finished tied for tenth all-time in program history, while his 12.5 sacks rank 13th. Kibarian posted a career-high ten stops, including six solo, with a career-best 4.0 for a loss of 13 yards with a sack and forced fumble at rival Bentley on October 22. He has been named to the NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll five semesters.
Doherty rounds out Stonehill's All-Conference honorees with second team honors for the second straight year. The linebacker started all 11 games for the Skyhawks and finished the season second on the team with 73 tackles (42 solo), including 7.0 for a loss of 21 yards, with 2.0 sacks for a loss of 12, four pass breakups, four hurries, an interception and forced fumble. He ranks 13th among NE-10 leaders for tackles and 12th for solo stops. Doherty posted ten-plus tackles four times this season, including a season-high 11 stops at Southern Connecticut State in week two and against New Haven in week seven, in which he also broke up three passes.
Doherty played 41 games over his Stonehill career and is one of 18 in program history with 200-plus tackles, finishing tenth in program history with 258, including 108 solo, with 25 tackles for loss, including 11 sacks, five forced fumbles, two interceptions and nine pass breakups. He is ranked seventh all-time at Stonehill for career forced fumbles and fifth with ten career QB hurries. Doherty has been named to the NE-10's Commissioner's Honor Roll five semesters.
Haite had a solid freshman season for Stonehill after taking over for the program's all-time leading scorer to graduation. He led the team in scoring with 54 points, ranking ninth in the NE-10, converting 24-of-25 extra points and 10-of-14 field goals for the season. Haite was 8-for-12 in field goal attempts over 30 yards, including 2-for-5 from 40-plus. He booted a season-long 47-yard field goal in the Skyhawks week four win at Saint Anselm College and scored a season-best 12 points in their season finale at Bentley, converting all three extra points and delivering three field goals from 35 yards twice and 25 yards.
Haite earned NE-10 Special Teams Player of the Week honors in week one after scoring eight points with two field goals and two extra points against Bloomsburg University. He was named to the Fred Mitchell Award's September "Watch List" following an impressive opening month to his freshman season. Haite's 24 PATs rank eighth on the program's single-season list, converting at 96-percent this season, which is the second-highest conversion percentage in program history. His ten field goals fell one shy of the program's single-season mark as well as his field goal attempts total.
Haite's PAT total from one season already ranks eighth on Stonehill's career list, while the ten field goals rank sixth all-time. He was also highly effective on kickoffs for the Skyhawks, averaging 60.2 yards per kick with eight touchbacks.
Stonehill finished its first season under head coach Eli Gardner with a 5-6 record overall, including 4-5 in the Northeast-10 to finish in sixth place, winning its last two games of the season and five of its last eight overall. The Skyhawks capped the season with a 38-21 triumph at rival Bentley University in the No. 5 vs. 6-seed game as part of the NE-10's Championship Weekend.
