Ranked second on the team for pass breakups, while ranking third for interceptions and fourth in tackles for loss. Finished 14th among NE-10 leaders for tackles and 17th for solo tackles. Posted 45 tackles against the run (2nd on team), 24 against the pass (5th) and four on kickoff return coverage (7th). Started all eight NE-10 games and finished with 42 tackles (24 solo), including 1.5 for a loss of five yards, four interceptions and three breakups. Totaled 32 tackles (22 solo), including 1.0 for a loss of four yards, two interceptions and three breakups in six home games. Opened the season with six tackles (four solo) against #25 Bloomsburg (8/31). Grabbed an interception, that he returned 22 yards, with four stops (two solo) in shutout win over Southern Connecticut State (9/8). Second on team with six pass breakups, ranking 11th among NE-10 leaders. Made three tackles (two solo), including 1.0 for a loss of a yard, and a pass breakup in season-opening win over Curry (9/2). Posted five stops (three solo) against Bentley (9/16). Had four solo tackles and a pass breakup at #23 New Haven (10/1). Made a season-high eight tackles (two solo) at Division I FCS Bryant (10/8). 2010: Northeast-10 Conference All-Rookie Team. Appeared in all ten games, starting the last five, as a true freshman. Totaled 39 tackles (29 solo), including 3.0 for a loss of seven yards, a team high four interceptions (62 yards) and three pass breakups. Posted four solo tackles and a pass breakup in win over Pace (9/10). Registered three solo stops, including 1.0 for a loss of two yards at American International (9/18). Made five tackles (four solo) and had his first career interception, that he returned 24 yards, against Merrimack (9/24). Established his season-high with six tackles (five solo) against New Haven (10/2). Matched that total with another six stops (five solo) with an interception (returned for eight yards) in shutout win at Pace (10/16). Had five tackles (four solo), including 1.5 for a loss of four yards and an interception for the third straight game that he returned 30 yards for his first career touchdown while chipping in two additional pass breakups in win at Saint Anselm (10/30). Matched his season-high with six stops (two solo), including 0.5 for a loss of a yard in shutout win over Assumption (11/6). Named NE-10 Rookie of the Week twice (9/13, 11/1).

High School: 2010 graduate of Saint Bonaventure High School. Three year letterwinner for coach Todd Therrien, serving as captain his senior season. Helped lead the Seraphs three Channel League Championships and two California State Championships (2007, 2008). Team was 39-4 over his three years on the team, including back to back 14-1 campaigns in 2007 and 2008. Two time All-League honoree, earning first team honors as a senior. Had five interceptions as a junior, two as a senior. Also lettered in baseball.

Personal: Born December 25, 1991, in Camarillo, Calif. Son of Don and Lori Bennett of Fillmore, Calif. Has a sister, Alyssa. Majoring in communication. Enjoys spending time with his family.
