  • 45 Stonehill Student-Athletes Earn Division II ADA Academic Achievement Awards

    EASTON, Mass. (August 13, 2010) – A total of 45 Stonehill College student-athletes have been recognized with Academic Achievement Awards from the Division II Athletic Directors Association (ADA). To earn recognition, student-athletes from Division II ADA member institutions must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, have completed at least four semesters, and have been an active member of their team during the previous academic year.
  • Valberg Named Equestrian Coach at Stonehill

  • Stonehill Wins Second NE-10 Presidents' Cup

    EASTON, Mass. (June 7, 2010) – Stonehill College has won the 2009-2010 Northeast-10 Conference Presidents’ Cup, it was announced tonight at the Conference’s end of the year awards banquet in Burlington, Vt.   • Stonehill Announces Fall Athletic Director’s Honor Roll

    EASTON, Mass. (February 11, 2010) – Stonehill College has announced its Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the Fall 2009 semester. Nearly half of all the student-athletes that currently compete for Stonehill’s 18 varsity programs recorded a grade-point average of 3.20 or better for the semester, with 219 students were named to the honor roll.

The seven Skyhawks, all first time selections, were among 86 NE-10 student-athletes recognized from the sports of men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s soccer, field hockey, football and volleyball.

(January 1, 2010) – Stonehill College has announced today’s Northeast-10 Conference basketball doubleheader against the University of Massachusetts Lowell has been moved up one hour from its originally scheduled time due to the weather forecast. The women’s game will now start at 12:30 p.m., with the men to follow at 2:30.     EASTON, Mass. (December 22, 2009) – For the eighth consecutive year CBS Sports Presents Championships of the NCAA will air at 1:30 p.m. Eastern, Saturday, December 26, on CBS Sports. Highlights and stories from cross country, field hockey, soccer and volleyball will be featured in the program. For the 2009-10 academic year, CBS Sports will feature more than 40 of the NCAA’s 88 championships in its three seasonal shows.

    EASTON, Mass. (October 24, 2009) – Stonehill College kicked off its Alumni Weekend festivities by inducting six former student-athletes into its Athletic Hall of Fame in Alumni Hall last night. Stonehill’s 21st annual Hall of Fame class includes Tom Graham, Class of 1962, a former baseball player for his contributions to the area community, Ken Michel, Class of 1968, a former basketball player for his contributions to the athletic department and basketball program, Peter Miller, Class of 1975, a former tennis player and longtime tennis coach, Kathy Girard-Iacovelli, Class of 1995, an All-Conference volleyball player, Tony Dello Iacono, Class of 1995, a standout football player and Allie Riccio-LaFratta, Class of 2000, an All-Conference field hockey and lacrosse player.
