Mark Zabicki enters his second year with the Stonehill sports medicine department as the first full-time strength and conditioning coach.

Zabicki comes to Stonehill after completing a graduate fellowship in strength and conditioning at fellow Northeast-10 Conference member Merrimack College for the last year, while completing his Master's of Science degree in sports and exercise science. He was the primary strength coach for the Warriors' men's lacrosse and women's tennis teams, while also working as the primary assistant for the NCAA Division I men's ice hockey program. Zabicki also assisted with football, track & field and women's lacrosse.

Prior to Merrimack, Zabicki spent a year as strength and conditioning coach at Vantedge Performance, LLC, in Woburn, Massachusetts. He was outsourced as head strength and conditioning coach at Worcester Academy, designing and implementing strength, speed and conditioning programs for the Academy's 17 boy's and girl's athletic programs. Zabicki also assisted with renovations to the weight room in his time at WA.

Zabicki also gained experience as a strength and conditioning intern at The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester during the 2013-14 academic year. He assisted with football, track & field, men's lacrosse, baseball, cross country and volleyball for the Crusaders. Zabicki interned with the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League during the 2012-13 season as well.

Zabicki, an Enfield, Connecticut, native, earned his Bachelor's Degree in excercise science at Becker College in 2013. He was a member of the Hawks' ice hockey and men's lacrosse teams as an undergraduate, serving as captain on the lacrosse team in 2011 and 2012. He received Becker's "Aspiring Scholar" Award in 2012 and is an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America.
