Stonehill Saddened by Passing of Marc Tarabocchia

EASTON, Mass. (October 2, 2018) – The Stonehill College community is mourning the sudden passing of Marc Tarabocchia, a junior offensive lineman on the football team early this morning.

"The entire Stonehill community is deeply saddened by the passing of Marc Tarabocchia," said Dean O'Keefe, '94. "We send our most sincere condolences to Marc's family, friends and loved ones, his fellow students and teammates during this difficult time."

Tarabocchia, an accounting major and Ramsey, New Jersey, native, was a member of the Stonehill offensive line unit over the last three seasons.

"I would like to send my deepest sympathies and prayers to Marc's family," said Eli Gardner, head football coach at Stonehill. "I will remember Marc as a caring and smart individual, and good friend to all within the football program here at Stonehill."

Tarabocchia is a 2016 graduate of Ramsey High School in New Jersey, where he lettered in football, wrestling and track & field. He received high honors all four years.

Tarabocchia is survived by his parents, Anthony and Angie Tarabocchia of Ramsey, New Jersey, and younger brothers, Tyler and Dylan.

A prayer service for Tarabocchia was held in the Chapel of Mary on the Stonehill campus Tuesday afternoon. Visitation and funeral arrangements can be accessed here.
