Women’s Cross Country Competes at Paul Short Run

 

O'Keefe once again led the way for the Skyhawks 


Curtin was the second Skyhawk across the finish line placing 211th 

BETHLEHEM, Pennsylvania (October 6, 2019) - The Stonehill College women's cross country team, ranked No. 2 in the East Regional U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA), finished 41st out of 43 teams at the Lehigh Paul Short Run gold race, hosted by Lehigh University Saturday morning.

Queen's University led the way for the team competition with 130 points, as Adams State University finished in second with 180 points and Penn State University came in third with 181 points.

Sophomore Siobhan O'Keefe led the way for the Skyhawks with her 180th-place finish with a time of 21:52.8 in the six-kilometer race. Junior Sam Curtin was the next Purple & White to score as she finished in 211th with a time of 22:04.9.

Senior Alyssa Freeman took home 236th with her time of 22:15.8, while junior Jillian Howard placed 261st out of 365 competitors and her time of 22:27.8.

Sophomore Sophia Anderle was the final Skyhawk to score for the team with her time of 22:38.1, placing 273rd overall.
