Borofski Tabbed Northeast-10 Cross Country Athlete of the Week

The senior receives third Conference accolade this season

EASTON, Mass. (October 3, 2016) – Nicole Borofski (Plymouth, Mass./Plymouth North), of the Stonehill women's cross country team, was named Northeast-10 Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league Monday.

The senior earned her third conference accolade of the season as she placed 45th out of 405 competitors in the gold division at the 43rd annual Paul Short Invitational, hosted by Lehigh University on Saturday, October 1. Borofski posted a career-best time of 20:51 in the six-kilometer race assisting the Skyhawks to a 27th-place mark over 45 teams. Stonehill finished second among Division II teams with 830 points, falling behind No. 2 Adams State who totaled 218 points.

Stonehill competes in the New England Championship this weekend on Saturday, October 8 at Franklin Park in Dorchester, Massachusetts.
