EASTON, Mass. (September 23, 2015) – Stonehill College junior Nicole Borofski (Plymouth, Massachusetts/Plymouth North) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference's Athlete of the Week for women's cross country, the league office announced yesterday.

Making her season debut on Saturday, Borofski led Stonehill to its second consecutive team title at the Kutztown University Division II/Division III Challenge, as she finished first overall out of 94 entries with a time of 22:41.8 on the six-kilometer Farm Course.

A two-time NCAA All-East Region and NE-10 All-Conference performer, Borofski earns Athlete of the Week recognition from the NE-10 for the fourth time in her career following her three selections as a sophomore last fall. The Plymouth, Massachusetts native was also named NE-10 Rookie of the Year at the conclusion of her freshman campaign in 2013.

Borofski is the second student-athlete from the women's cross country team to earn NE-10 Athlete of the Week honors this fall. Freshman Makenzie Cyr (Douglas, Massachusetts/Douglas) collected both Rookie and Athlete of the Week accolades from the conference office following her third place finish in 19:05 at the season-opening Shacklette Invitational on September 5th.

Stonehill, which moved up one spot to No. 16 in this week's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division II Poll, will be back in action on Saturday, September 26th at the Ted Owen Invitational, hosted by Central Connecticut State University at Stanley Park in New Britain, Connecticut.
