Senior Jenny Gardynski's 14th place finish earned her second-team all-conference honors.

 

Stonehill 2nd - Alves, Coriaty Earn First Team Accolades

Colchester, Vt. - UMass-Lowell finally wrestled away what Stonehill had held onto for the past two seasons. The Skyhawks, who have won seven of the last eight Northeast-10 Championships, fell five points short as the River Hawks claimed their second in the past four seasons.

Bentley's Melissa Nash claimed the individual title with a time of 18:30 over the 5K layout.

Freshman Jill Alves (18:42) (Whitman, Mass.) finished fourth for Stonehill and she was followed by Kristina Coriaty (18:48) (Brockton, Mass.) in sixth place.

UMass-Lowell, however, had runners finish in the second, third and fifth positions, along with the 11th spot.

Amanda Tripodi (Darien, Conn.) was 12 th for Stonehill at 19:26, while senior Jenny Gardynski (Everett, Mass.), Kristen Mahoney (Weymouth, Mass.) and Susan O'Connell (East Greenwich, R.I.) all finished in a bunch at 14, 15, and 16.
