NE10 Volleyball Report: Week 2 

EASTON, Mass. (September 5, 2018) – Stonehill College volleyball freshman Lauren Wilke was named Northeast-10 Conference Setter and Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league on Wednesday.

Wilke earns her first-collegiate award from the Conference after assisting the Skyhawks to a 3-0 weekend hosting the Skyhawks Invitational. Stonehill swept Felician University, Georgian Court University, and Merrimack College with 3-0 scores.

The freshman from Blue Point, New York averaged 11.22 assists per set this weekend, while also chipping in four service aces, 2.33 digs per set, and 0.22 blocks per set. In a 3-0 win over Felician this weekend, Wilke saw her highest hitting percentage with a .571 hitting clip, while also just shyly missing out on her fourth double-double with 33 assists and nine digs. With her 11.22 assists per set, the freshman led the team to a .303 hitting percentage

During the Skyhawks' 3-0 victory over Merrimack College this weekend, Stonehill saw a .433 hitting percentage, the highest in a set thus far, in both the first and second sets thanks to Lauren's consistency on the court.

In the six matches played this season, Wilke has registered three double-doubles and five matches with 30 or more assists. In the NE10, Wilke ranks second in assists per set (10.42), just .25 shy of the leader. She also ranks 17th in digs per set averaging 3.26 and 28th in blocks per set averaging 0.53.

Stonehill will travel to Brookville, New York to face East Stroudsburg University at 2:00 p.m. and LIU Post at 4:00 p.m. at the Pratt Recreation Center for a tri-match on Saturday, September 8.
