Stevens earns second-Conference accolade of the season

Northeast-10 Volleyball Report – Week 7

EASTON, Mass. (October 18, 2016) – Stonehill College women's volleyball senior Taylor Stevens (Foster, R.I./Ponaganset) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference's Setter of the Week for the second time this season, the league office announced Monday.

Stevens assisted the Skyhawks to a 1-1 week with a 3-0 victory over Franklin Pierce University. The senior averaged 12.25 assist per set, while adding 2.13 digs per set and two service aces.

Stevens now sits third in the conference averaging 10.22 assists per set and 14th in aces per set (0.34).

In the Skyhawks 3-2 loss against Merrimack College, Stevens notched her 21st career double-double notching 55 assists and 13 digs. The senior also tallied a career-high eight kills. Stevens drove Stonehill to a three-set victory over Franklin Pierce with a match-high 43 assists.

Stonehill (8-9, 3-3 NE-10) will continue playing on the road as it faces Pace University on Friday, October 21 in a 7 p.m. contest.
