DeLanty Named NE-10 Player of the Week

DeLanty earns second accolade of the season

EASTON, Mass. (September 13, 2016) – Stonehill College women's volleyball junior Katherine DeLanty (Smithtown, N.Y./Smithtown West) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference's Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

DeLanty assisted the Skyhawks in three 3-0 shutout matches last week, leading the team to a 4-3 start to the 2016 season. In the three matches, DeLanty recorded double-digit kills, including 12 apiece against Saint Michael's College and Felician University and 13 against Dominican (N.Y.) CollegeIn. DeLanty also tallied four services aces in the victory sweep in the Skyhawk Invitational. With a .501 hitting percentage this past weekend, DeLanty now has the highest hitting percentage on the team and ranks third in the conference with a .353 clip.

Stonehill (4-3, 0-0 NE-10) will play in its fourth match of a five-match homestand Tuesday, September 13 at 6 p.m. against Post University.
