Match 1: California University of Pennsylvania 3, Stonehill 1

The Skyhawks came back from behind after two matches, but it was not enough as the Vulcans took the match with set scores of 25-10, 25-19, 22-25, and 25-22.

California (Pa.) out-hit Stonehill in each of the four sets and recorded double-digit kills in each. The Skyhawks' .135 average hitting percentage was not able to hold the Vulcans .291 offense, as California's Danielle Hayss dominated the floor with 18 kills.

Stonehill's six blocks weren't enough as California's (Pa.) 12 blocks held off the Skyhawks offense holding its leading outside hitter to 11 kills.

Match 2: Shepherd University 3, Stonehill 1

Stonehill was able to press through the entire match, Shepherd University would come up on top and secure its second victory of the tournament with set scores of 25-19, 20-25, 25-19, and 25-19.

The Rams' .202 hitting percentage topped the Skyhawks' .153 hitting percentage, even though Stonehill tallied 47 kills as Shepherd recorded 42. The Rams' defense was the key to winning three of the four sets since its 16 blocks surpassed Stonehill's seven.

The Skyhawks' defense was able to hold the Rams to single-digit kills, as DeLanty and Nasby (10) were the only players able to cross the threshold.

The Skyhawks will be back in action tomorrow taking on University Charleston (W.Va.) at 11 a.m. and Lock Haven University at 5 p.m. to conclude tournament play.
