ALBANY, N.Y. (November 16, 2013) – The Stonehill College volleyball team wrapped up its 2013 regular season with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-21) defeat at The College of Saint Rose this afternoon in Northeast-10 action at Nolan Gymnasium. With the loss, Stonehill earns the sixth seed in the upcoming NE-10 Tournament, and the Skyhawks will take on the third seeded Bentley University Falcons in Waltham on Tuesday.

Sophomore outside hitter Delia Phillips (St. James, N.Y./Smithtown East) and junior middle blocker Mary-Kate Catton (San Deigo, Calif./Academy of Our Lady of Peace) paced Stonehill's offense today with 11 kills each, while Phillips also added ten digs for her 14th double-double of the season. With her 11 kill effort, Phillips is now just one shy of 500 kills in her career.

Stonehill (17-13, 9-5 NE-10) will be back in action on Tuesday night in the first round of the NE-10 Tournament at Bentley. The Skyhawks will be looking to avenge their November 12th loss to Bentley at Merkert Gym, in which Stonehill led 24-18 in the fourth set, before the Falcons stormed back to deal the Skyhawks their toughest loss of 2013.

Saint Rose (19-4, 11-3 NE-10), which has earned the second seed in the NE-10 Tournament, will host seventh seeded Merrimack College on Tuesday night at Nolan Gymnasium.
