Welcome back to the VolleyBlog! Our first home match is today (Sept. 11, 2012) against Assumption College but let's get you caught up on what we have done up until this point.

We started off our season headed to Connecticut to play Post University. After earning our first win, a 3-1 victory, we headed to the Frankowski's for a Pasta Party!

After enjoying some time together with our team and their families, we headed out to Michigan to play at the Grand Valley State Tournament. We played Wisconsin-Parkside, Notre Dame (Ohio) College, Grand Valley State University and Barry University. Afterwards, we got to spend some quality time at the Iveson's house and tour Chicago while meeting up with the Kelly's!

Here's the team at Millenium Park visiting "The Bean" which is a public sculpture by Anish Kapoor. We also hit a few more sites along the way as we walked around downtown, had a meal at Harry Caray's, went to Navy Pier in downtown Chicago and rode the ferris wheel.

On our last night in Chicago we spent our time at the Iverson's house in Elmhurst where most of us had our first experience of having authentic Chicago Stuff Pizza!

Tonight, along with playing Assumption, the volleyball team will host "Orange Night" to promote Leukemia & Lymphoma Awareness in memory of Henry Thevenin, '14. The event will look to support the Stonehill College football team in its efforts to honor Henry Thevenin "H-LUV" while raising awareness of leukemia and lymphoma.

Donations will be accepted at the match and also online for "Team H-LUV" who will participate in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk on Thursday, October 11^th. Donations can be made online at the following link: "Team H-LUV."

We encourage all of you to come out and wear orange to help out the football team to continue to honor H-LUV.
