Dexter & Knox Compete at John Thomas Terrier Invitational

Dexter 25th in 200-meter dash; Knox 32nd in 5000-meters

BOSTON, Mass. (January 26, 2018) – Senior Emily Knox (Worcester, Massachusetts/Notre Dame Academy) and junior Olivia Dexter (East Calais, Vermont/Union 32) represented the Stonehill College women's track & field program, ranked No. 1 in this week's United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) East Region rankings, at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational, hosted by Boston University, at the BU Track & Tennis Center this evening.

Dexter posted a 25th-place finish out of 126 competitors in the 200-meter dash with a season-best time of 25.60-seconds – good for second among Northeast-10 Conference sprinters in the event. Her time moves up to fifth on the NE10's performance chart for the winter.

Knox finished 32nd out of 49 entries in the 5000-meter run in 18:02.68 – placing second among NE10 runners in the event. Her time also ranks as the second-fastest time in the event this season – nearly nine-seconds faster than the current third-place time.

The remainder of Stonehill's team will compete at the Branwen Smith-King Invitational, hosted by Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, tomorrow starting at 11 a.m.
