Borofski and Dexter earn three honors apiece

USTFCCCA Announces 2017 NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field All-Region Honorees

Senior Nicole Borofski (Plymouth, Massachusetts/Plymouth) leads the pack earning three accolades this season, bringing her total to 22-career All-East Region track and field honors. This season she bypassed two NCAA provisional marks in the 800-meter and the 1500-meter runs, while also automatically qualifying for the 3000-meter steeplechase. Borofski has now automatically qualified for the steeplechase in two of her four years competing as a Skyhawk. She also set the school record in the 1500-meter run at the New England Championships, taking third place.

Sophomore Olivia Dexter (East Calais, Vermont/Union 32) also earned three All-East Region honors this year, taking hers in the 100-meter sprint, 200-meter run and long jump. This brings Dexter's career total to five East region accolades. Dexter's performances in the 100- and 200-meter runs broke her previous school records, which she broke at the UMass Minuteman Invitational this year. She also hit her best mark in the long jump this season at the Northeast-10 Championships with her first-career All-Conference award.

Aisha McAdams (North Kingstown, Rhode Island/North Kingstown) brings her total of All-East Region track and field honors to 15. The senior took her second NE10 title in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:15.75. She also earned a season best time in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:36.07 at the Larry Ellis Invitational finishing 38^th among the field of 61 competitors.

Emily Knox (Worcester, Massachusetts/Notre Dame Academy) tallied her sixth All-East Region mark as she tallied her second-career NE10 Championship title. She placed first in the 5000-meter run with a time of 17.11.20 marking a personal best time and bypassing the NCAA provisional mark. Knox also finished second at the Championships in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:35.14 for another personal best time.

Courtney Daggett (Attleboro, Massachusetts/Attleboro) posted a season best mark in the high jump with a height of 1.65m (5ft, 5inch) at the NEICAAA Outdoor Championships. This honor is her fourth accolade, as she has picked All-East Region in each season since her freshman year.

Gaelin Farrell (Baldwinville, Massachusetts/Narragansett Regional) marked not only a personal best, but also a new school record as she threw a distance of 13.31m (43ft, 3inch) at the NE10 Championships. Farrell has collected four All-East Region honors in her three years as a Skyhawk.  

Krista Fernandes (Taunton, Massachusetts/Coyle and Cassidy) earned her third All-East Region honor this year, after collecting it in the 400m and DMR during the indoor season. Fernandes finished fourth overall in the 400-meter hurdles with a personal best time of 1:04.12 at the NE10 Championships.

Ashley Colarusso (Tewksbury, Massachusetts/Tewskbury) now has her name etched for the school record in the indoor and outdoor pole vault as she placed second with a mark of 3.31m (10ft, 10.25inch) at the NE10 Championships. The freshman collected her second All-East Region accolade in the pole vault.

Madison Ward (Holliston, Massachusetts/Holliston) placed seventh out of 22 competitors at the NEICAAA Championships this season hitting a personal best mark of 1.65m (5ft, 5inch). The freshman has now earned All-East Region honors in both seasons.

Elizabeth Hannon (Franklin, Massachusetts/Bishop Feehan) clocked in a personal best time of 11:39.11 in the 3000-meter steeplechase at the NE10 Championships, earning her first regional track and field honor.

The Stonehill women will cap its outdoor season on May 25-27 when its qualified individuals will compete at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at the University of Tampa & IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
