EASTON, Mass. (May 6, 2016) – The Stonehill College women's track & field team, ranked first in this week's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) East Region Computer Rankings, will look to sweep this years Northeast-10 Conference Indoor and Outdoor Championship, with the Outdoor Championship being held today and Saturday on the campus of American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Stonehill has been picked to finish first in the pre-championship coaches' poll conducted by the NE-10's 12 head coaches. Stonehill received 116 total votes, including eight first place votes, while Southern Connecticut State University checked in second with 112 votes and the remaining four first place votes. Merrimack College (100 votes) was picked third, followed by American International College (79), and The University of New Haven (79) to round out the top five.

Junior All-American Nicole Borofski (Plymouth, Massachusetts/Plymouth North) will look to make an impact in a pair of individual events, as she is seeded first in the 5000-meter run (16:59.63) and second in the 1500 meter run (4:30.63). Borofski will be looking to defend her championship in the 1500-meter run, as she won the race last year in 4:34.18.

Joining Borofski in the 1500-meter run will be junior All-American Aisha McAdams (North Kingston, Rhode Island/North Kingston). McAdams is seeded third in the event with a time of 4:32.11 seconds. McAdams is also competing in the 800-meter run where she is seeded second in with a time of 2:14.43, while senior All-American Erin Carberry (Milton, Massachusetts/Thayer Academy) and freshman Elizabeth Hannon (Franklin, Massachusetts/Bishop Feehan) are seeded third and fourth, respectively, in the 800 with times of 2:16.67 and 2:19.44.

Senior All-American Jeana Esernio (Stony Brook, New York/Ward Melville) will look to build upon her fourth place finish at last year's championship in the 100-meter hurdles, as she is seeded first with a time of 14.54 seconds.

Junior Nicole Borosfki will look to defend her championship in the 1500-meter run.

Senior Trisha Pierson (East Hanover, New Jersey/Hanover Park) will be looking to win her third consecutive outdoor title in the discus throw, as she is seeded first with a distance of 134-feet. Pierson is also favored to win the shot put with a distance of 42-feet, 1.5-inches.

Competing in her first NE-10 Outdoor Championships, freshman Courtney Daggett (Attleboro, Massachusetts/Attleboro) is seeded first in the high jump with a height of 5-feet, 6-inches, while sophomore Alison Tobin (Hudson, Massachusetts/Hudson) is seeded second in the pole vault with a mark of 10-feet, 7-inches.

Senior All-American Jordan Gray (Warwick, Rhode Island/Toll Gate) is seeded fifth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.13 seconds and sixth in the 200-meter dash in 25.70 seconds. Freshman Olivia Dexter (East Calais, Vermont/U-32) leads four Stonehill entries seeded in the top six in the 100-meter dash, as she is ranked third in 12.21 seconds. Sophomore Emily Polvere (Somers, New York/Somers), junior Tulie Finley-Moise (Lexington, Massachusetts/Lexington) and freshman Hannah Ameen (Andover, Massachusetts/Andover) are seeded fourth, fifth and sixth, respectively.

Two Stonehill relays are favored to finish in the top three with the 4x800 meter relay seeded first with a time of 9:19.66. The 4x100 meter relay is seeded third in 47.97 seconds.

Junior Alexandra Buonfiglio (Lynnfield, Massachusetts/Lynnfield) is seeded second in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:32.94. Dexter and classmate Colleen Perry (Weymouth, Massachusetts/Weymouth) are seeded third in both the long jump and heptathlon, respectively.
