Daggett Named NE-10 Women’s Indoor Field Rookie of the Year

Daggett set school record in high jump at New England Championships

EASTON, Mass. (March 25, 2016) – Stonehill College freshman Courtney Daggett (Attleboro, Massachusetts/Attleboro) has been selected as the 2016 Northeast-10 Conference Field Rookie of the Year for the indoor season, the league office announced today.  

Daggett earns the award after being a key contributor in Stonehill's third consecutive NE-10 title. The freshman earned All-Conference recognition at the meet after finishing second in the event with a height of 5-feet, 3.25-inches.

Prior to the NE-10 Championships, Daggett broke a six-year-old program record and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships in the high jump with a height of 5-feet, 5.00-inches at the Boston University (BU) Valentine Invitational. Daggett then broke her own record just two weeks later as she posted an All-New England performance in the high jump, placing fifth with a height of 5-feet, 5.25-inches.

A 2015 graduate of Attleboro High School in Attleboro, Massachusetts, Daggett qualified for the divisional championship in the high jump in both her junior and senior year. She also qualified for States her senior year. Daggett was Awarded the Hockomock scholar athlete award her senior year as well as being named to the Sun Chronicle All-Star team.
