EASTON, Mass. (February 19, 2016) – The Stonehill College women's track & field team, ranked No. 1 in this week's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division II East Regional Computer Rankings, will look to win its third-consecutive Northeast-10 Conference Indoor Championship on Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center in Boston, Massachusetts.

Stonehill, which captured its second NE-10 Indoor Track & Field title in program history last February, is selected to finish second in the league's pre-Championship Coaches Poll with 95 points and five first place votes. Southern Connecticut State University, while last year was picked to finish second to Stonehill with 94 points and four first-place tallies, moved ahead to first with 96 points and six first place votes. Merrimack College received 78 votes to secure third while American International College (74 points) and Adelphi University (58 points) rounded out the top-5 of the poll.

Junior Nicole Borofski (Plymouth, Massachusetts/Plymouth North) is seeded first in both the 1-mile run and 3000-meter run, respectively, with times of 4:54.11 and 9:41.75. Borofski set her personal best time in the mile on January 29, 2016 during the John Thomas Terrier Invitational. Junior Aisha McAdams (North Kingstown, Rhode Island/North Kingstown) trails right behind Borofski as she's seeded second in both the 1-mile run and 3000-meter run with times of 5:00.99 and 9:49.23. McAdams broke the NE-10 Indoor Championship Record last year and earned her first NE-10 title with her time of 10:02.39 in the 3000-meter.

Junior Alexandra Buonfiglio (Lynnfield, Massachusetts/Lynnfield) is slated second in the 1000-meter run with a time of 2:59.90, established at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on February 12th. Buonfiglio looks to defend her NE-10 title in the 1000-meter run, completing the event in 3:02.31 in last year's Championship. Freshman Jillian Caiazzi (Malborough, Massachusetts/Malborough) will compete in the 1000-meter run as well and is seeded sixth with her time of 3:02.70.

Senior All-American Jordan Gray (Warwick, Rhode Island/Toll Gate) will look to defend her NE-10 title in the 500-meter run, as she is seeded second with a time of 1:15.83 that was established on January 15th at the Harvard Multi Meet. Gray also will be competing in the 200-meter dash and is seeded fifth with a time of 25.46. Freshman Olivia Dexter (East Calais, Vermont/ U-32) will compete in the 200-meter seeded eighth with a time of 25.91.

Senior Jordan Gray will be looking for her third consecutive NE-10 indoor championship in the 500-meter run, as she is seeded second with a time of 1:15.83.

Senior Erin Carberry (Milton, Massachusetts/Thayer Academy) takes on the 800-meter run seeded second with a time of 2:16.37, established February 6th during the URI Coaches Tribute Meet. Carberry looks to blast past her fifth place 2:21.82 time last year. Freshman Elizabeth Hannon (Franklin, Massachusetts/Bishop Feehan) will join her in the 800-meter seeded sixth with a time of 2:20.01.

Stonehill has three entries seeded in the top-10 in the 5000-meter run, led by sophomore Emily Knox (Worcester, Massachusetts/Notre Dame Academy) who is seeded third with her mark of 18:13.88. Freshman Mackenzie Cyr (Douglas Massachusetts/Douglas) is seeded fourth with a time of 18:20.99, while sophomore Abby Hersom (Rockland, Maine/Oceanside) is slated seventh with a time of 19:16.06.

Senior Jeana Esernio (Stony Brook, New York/Ward Melville) is seeded third in the 60-meter hurdles prelims with a time of 9.14 seconds, while sophomore Alison Tobin (Hudson, Massachusetts/Hudson) is ranked third in the pole vault with a height of 10-feet, 6-inches, finishing third last year during the NE-10 Championships with a height of 9-feet, 6.25-inches.

Freshman Courtney Daggett (Attleboro, Massachusetts/Attleboro), fresh off of breaking the school record in the high jump, is seeded first in the event at 5-feet, 5.00-inches. Sophomore Gaelin Farrell (Baldwinville, Massachusetts/Narragansett Regional) is ranked third in the shot put with a distance of 40-feet, 8.25-inches, while senior Trisha Pierson (East Hanover, New Jersey/Hanover Park) is seeded sixth at 39-feet, 11.75-inches.

Stonehill will be looking for strong performances by the relays as the 4000-meter distance relay is seeded first at 11:44.22 and owns the seventh fastest time in the country, while the 4x800-meter relay is the reigning champion in the event and set the NE-10 record last year with a time of 9:25.04.

The DMR will be run by Caiazzi, junior Megan Bobinski (Torrington, Connecticut/Holy Cross), senior Molly Hellman (Rumson, New Jersey/Rumson-Fairhaven Regional) and Buonfiglio, while Carberry, Hannon, Knox and McAdams are slated to run in the 4x800 relay.

Following Saturday's NE-10 Indoor Championship, Stonehill will return to action on February 26th at the New England Championships.
