Daggett Named NE-10 Field Athlete & Rookie Of The Week

Attleboro, Mass. native set new school record in the high jump at BU Valentine Invitational

EASTON, Mass. (February 15, 2016) – Stonehill College freshman Courtney Daggett (Attleboro, Massachusetts/Attleboro) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Athlete and Rookie of the Week for women's indoor track & field, it was announced today by the league office.

Daggett broke a six-year-old program record and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships in the high jump with a height of 5-feet, 5.00-inches on Friday night at the Boston University (BU) Valentine Invitational. The height is also the second highest recorded in the NE-10 so far this year.

A 2015 graduate of Attleboro High School in Attleboro, Massachusetts, Daggett qualified for the divisional championship in the high jump in both her junior and senior year. She also qualified for States her senior year. Daggett was Awarded the Hockomock scholar athlete award her senior year as well as being named to the Sun Chronicle All-Star team.

Stonehill will look to defend its NE-10 Indoor Track & Field Championship next weekend at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
